Welcome! I am the founder and head professional hairstylist at The CaveMan Cut. My passion for the hair industry started at a very early age. With more than 25 years of professional hairdressing experience in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs, my mission is to deliver elite, personalized styling tailored for a smaller, premium niche market.

Unlike standard commercial operators, my career is backed by rigorous, accredited technical training designed to handle all hair types and complex technical treatments:
- Technical Foundation: Began formal training during high school, completing comprehensive theoretical and practical exams for Modules 1 through 3.
- Advanced Diploma: Completed advanced Modules 3 to 6 through full-time tertiary study, passing the final national theoretical examinations.
- SETA Certification: Completed a rigorous 2-year practical internship, culminating in a comprehensive practical examination to achieve my official SETA Certification Diploma as a Professional Hairstylist.
- Master Classes & Continuous Training: Regularly expanded my structural and creative styling knowledge by completing specialized product courses with global industry giants, including Wella, Schwarzkopf, Revlon, and Dark & Lovely.
Over 2 Decades of Industry Experience in Cape Town
Before launching my dream studio—The CaveMan Cut—I spent over two decades refining my craft at some of the region’s busiest and most prestigious salons:
- The Brackenfell Roots: Launched my professional career with a highly focused 2-year apprenticeship right here in Brackenfell, where I officially qualified as a SETA Professional Hairstylist.
- International Exposure: Spent 2 years working for a high-profile international hair studio company in Canal Walk at Century City, gaining invaluable exposure to global styling trends and diverse hair textures.
- A Legacy of Trust: Dedicated 19 years as a premier senior stylist at the renowned Gerhard’s Hair Salon in Tyger Valley Shopping Centre, building an exceptionally loyal client base through elite cutting, colouring, and chemical therapies.
